New for employers
You choose what applicants hear from you.
Reel Resumes sends applicants short updates as you review them. Now you decide which ones go out — one switch per email, for all your jobs.
Keep people in the loop
A quick note when you watch their video, save them or want an interview tells applicants their application didn't vanish into a void.
Say it your way
Rather call people yourself? Turn off any update you'd prefer to deliver in person. You decide what goes out automatically.
No awkward rejections
Passing on someone never sends an email. You never have to worry about a cold rejection going out in your name.
How to use it
How to set it up.
It takes about a minute, and you only need to do it once.
- 1
Open Company settings
Once you're signed in, click your company name at the bottom of the menu on the left and choose Company settings. Then click the Notifications tab.
- 2
See every email applicants can get
The list shows each email in the order an applicant would get it. Under each one you'll see what it tells them and when it's sent — for example, when you mark someone as Saved (your shortlist).
- 3
Switch off the ones you don't want
Click a switch to turn that email off (grey) or back on (teal). It saves by itself, and you'll see a Saved message. Emails marked Always sent or No email can't be changed.
- 4
That's it
Your choices apply to every job your company posts, including future ones. Come back and change them any time.

Common questions
- What's on if I never change anything?
- Everything that can be switched is on: Video watched, Saved and Interview. Applicants get each update as you review them.
- Why can't I turn off “Application received”?
- It's the applicant's receipt that their application went through, with a link to it. Everyone who applies gets one.
- What about Offer and Hired?
- Those stages don't send an email, so you can share the good news yourself. See how stages work on the applicant pipeline page.
- Who receives these emails?
- The applicant, or the agency that applied on their behalf if they came through one.
- Does turning an email off affect ones already sent?
- No. A switch only changes what's sent from then on. Emails that already went out stay sent.
